Reaching Back, Inc. is a nonprofit agency (501(c)(3)) designed and developed to provide support to social workers and future social workers in their pursuits of competent practice. We believe that competence in practice is meaningful practice. We also recognize the many challenges social workers face in providing services.
OUR MISSION
Reaching Back, Inc. is dedicated to empowering the social work community through a professional network of support and guidance. We provide methodical mentoring programs designed to cultivate expertise, foster resilience, and ensure that every social worker has access to the collective wisdom and career stewardship necessary for impactful service. Our mission is to nurture the professionals who safeguard our society’s most vulnerable populations.

Supervision
Expert clinical oversight for licensed practitioners, focusing on complex case management and ethical considerations in social work.
Licensure Support
Expert licensure guidance from a licensed Board Approved Supervisor with over 15 years of COMAR Regulation knowledge of application requirements.
Scholarships
The Pauline Cooper Scholarship Award will be granted to current undergraduate BSW and MSW students twice per year.
Career Guidance
Career guidance will be offered by our seasoned staff with many years of experience and expertise surrounding all facets of the social work profession.
Internship Opportunities
Expert clinical oversight for licensed practitioners, focusing on complex case management and ethical considerations in social work.
Computers
In the near future, we will offer free laptops to eligible participants, while supplies last.
